![]() Only thing left is a torp jostling match that will follow and the Macker falls short on that too.just one example of many and that's a BB, never mind a crazy torp hungry crusier. So I can steam a sliefen into one and it will do zip to me all whilst I over pen your bow with every shot. It can't even pen 25mm of standard crusier armour, never mind 27mm that some have. My only issue would be why pick that when you can pick other Brawlings ships that can do it better both in much better armour, secondaries or over matching guns? Let's be honest, 305 mm guns are pea shooters at tier 10 and get worse pen over range. The Bourg set the bar very high remember and it's not healthy for the game for new ships to make that cut.īut regarding ranked i get your point. So a dead light crusiers worth of extra damage. That's 285,000 AP damage in 10-14 seconds compared to 219,000 in 26 seconds, all things being equal. Of course, the macker is still a good, rounded and fun ship and when played correctly its a crusiers nightmate, but so is the bourg and that can fire twice in a short space of time which can be priceless. Then you factor in the huge deck HE magnet and god awful firing angles (you show complete broadside when you fire) which isnt ideal as it has a lightly armoured belt. It's a tough sell to say it has the same level as the Bourg. ![]() Not the mention the range on the Macker is medium (21 km) against the Bourg (25 km) rounded up and 1.5 km concealment difference. ![]() And has the same downsides of the sharn, namely AP pen, lower HE fire starting potential and lighter armour for a German BB. If it gets into a HE slugging match with a Bourg, then there is only one winner due to the reload gimmick, stronger per shell HE damage (5,400 vs 3,600 ) and 10% higher fire chance per shell.
